Another Quick Poll
Which is worse, to hear someone say no or to not hear them say yes?
Just wondering.

It's all about me, isn't it? Me, me, me, me. Well, I'm sorry, but what about...oh, never mind.

to not hear them say yes!I think it means (paranoia) that they mean no but dont want to hurt your feelings and are looking for a way to change the subject. the truth comes quickly, and lies dont.
in the moment, when you're caught up in it, you think it's horrible when you hear NO. but thinking back, i'm realizing it's SO much worse to not hear them say yes...because then you hold out hope, reanalyze, become delusional, etc. i'm all for the truth, no matter how brutal it might be.
but then again, i just avoid talks like that.
to not hear them say yes. No explanation.
to not hear them say yes
Thanks for the input, that's pretty much what I thought too.
But, what if it means you just didnt hear them say yes because you were a little deaf that day from a concert the night before and so then you went off thinking they just didnt care enough to answer you and decided that must mean they meant no and then you missed out on something great???
