Not Much of a Tax Fan
Tomorrow (okay, today actually) is National Cheeseball Day, which seems appropriate since we have to pay our taxes in the US.
Wednesday is International Jugglers Day. This is what we have to do to pay our taxes.
Then it's Garlic Day. Do I smell melting butter? Hmmmm. :-)

Taxes! In April! How different :)
What about the financial year? We have to do all our tax returns in july or something like that after the financial year. but for most people our tax is automatically taken from our pay and then you try and see if you can get some of the money back from the government (which is why it's a tax return). How does it work there?
Here the year ends Dec. 31st. Then we get until mid-April to file our forms. They take money out automatically depending on the kind employment you have. For those of us who don't work for "the man" it can get a little complicated and expensive.
This year's Tax Freedom Day, the point at which we (on average) have made enough money to pay our taxes was March 28th. Work for the government for four months, work for yourself the rest. It's fun trying to make a living in eight months, really.
