Let's Talk Geek
Two of these are pictures of things I made by hand and the other is my old AD&D books. (Yes, I have newer ones too.) Anybody know the vintage (Rach?) of the books? :-)
Why is it I post comments on blogs and I get impossible garbage for the word verification and the next one that comes up is almost (or contains) a word? Am I going to have to start double commenting just to get a good one?
Sorry for the whine, but it doesn't seem quite fair.

Oh ai m going to guess that the books are older than 15 years not by much, cool blue and yellow, but how did you make the shirt?

Wow! Thats some nice chainmailing! That takes ages doesn't it? We had a medieaval society in my old home town...gee they had some wild feasts with spiced Mead and whole pigs roasting on a spit. Buxom wenches with lots of cleavage...fun times...
Those books were new in 1979-80.
People keep digging things up and it appears the Vikings were quite fond of brightly colored things. They might not have had the benefit of modern enamel, but still....
A shirt like that, that size, takes about six months of spare time, about an hour an evening, to complete. It used up a half mile (797 meters) of wire and weighs about 50 pounds (23kg).
I made another one this past year for a guy who's 6'4" (193cm) and weighs 375 pounds (170kg).
That one took a little longer. It's not light either, but I don't have to wear it. :-)

woh, those are some time consuming hobbies. Do you go out on like event type things with them? Rachem and I took up fencing once at uni for a little while, seemed like a fun way to get fit until we realised we were actually going to have to exercise!
