Just The Food Ones

September 14 is National Cream-filled Donut Day.
The 17th is National Apple Dumpling Day.
The 19th is National Butterscotch Pudding Day.
The 20th is National Punch Day.
The 21st is The International Banana Festival.
The 26th is National Pancake Day.
The 29th is Poisoned Blackberries Day.

I don't know if that last one really qualifies as a food.... :-)

No wonder there seems to be an obsession with dieting, in the US. And with a majority of the third world still grappling with poverty no wonder they do not have such days to celebrate ! ... Boy, what a downer .... time for something to munch !

This bugs me too. We have people going to trendy coffee places and blowing 3 or 4 bucks a day for latte or such and people (even in this country) are going hungry.

So now I feel really guilty for goung to Weather center(coffee house) today and spending $4-$5 on a chai latte...
I know there are people going hungry all over the world, I know that my parents can use some help from me too.
But my dad told me last year:
"you can't live your life for us...you have to enjoy all that life brings..." so I indulge once in a while...and help as much as i can:)

Jenna - don't feel bad. You'll notice I compained about people who do it daily. I think it's okay to be nice to yourself. I guess my gripe was that those folks could skip *one* of those days and do something good with the money, but don't.
