Okay, I Give

So no word from Mystery Visitor, and now there are others. Lots of others. I'm just going to roll along and try not to pay attention to the logs. No sense making myself crazy (-crazier-).

Hello to half of Australia. Bigpond, Optusnet, IInet, whatever. :-)

Hello France as well.

I'm just going to go over in the corner and hang out with Dascha. At least she still talks to me.

:-)

You guys are great. And I appreciate the visits.

I was kind of using Dascha as a 'mystery' person who talks to me, sort of, I guess. :-)

Hey, this has helped. One of the mystery IPs is you, Rach. You have a lot of different IPs. I still have an occasional visitor from Mountain View, California, And several I can't identify from Oz. I don't know if this bugs me more from curiosity, or paranoia.

Maybe I need to get (an imaginary) life. (hehe, sneaky chuckle.)

Am I one of your mystery Aussies? Am I still allowed to visit?

Absolutely!

And you ARE one of my mystery people!

Of course, now, there's somebody on a Mac from the UAE who came in through Earthkissed and dug around in the archives. It never ends! :-)

I'm gonna guess a bit here. Home. Do you have a handheld device like a phone? Hospital. Library. I may have one marked from the past that doesn't get used, I'll have to look. 4 would cover it, I think.

Ah, would two different computers at home count as two?
Library = hospital, but i do use two different computers there.
No handheld devices.
Hmmmm, been trying to think of other possibilities, but /shrug, i guess it doens't really matter :D I'm jsut curious dammit

Upon further examination, I can narrow this a bit. Your providers don't have you on a static IP address. This means that the 4 section number sequence only matches in the first few sections as you get assigned different addresses when you're on different times for at least one ISP. Also, you guys have fewer and bigger ISPs over there than the multitude we have, so it may be that your companies use their resources differently. That would also explain why some users seem to show up in parts of the country they aren't likely in. I could probably dig around in the way Aussie Providers work and find out more, but I'm feeling kind of lazy, what with winter coming in and all.
