What....The....F**k? ( lol )

Uh, What?

Who picks the phrases?

Is this aerobics for the mean streets of Baltimore?

Some Things Never Die

Tomorrow is Paul Bunyan Day.

It's not the dumbest thing we've ever come up with, but it has always seemed a little beyond to me.

Who's got a better goofy myth for me?

Seasons

For those of you having winter, we're just getting rolling on summer and my night-time low tonight will be about 72 (farenheit).

If I did my math right, about 22 C.

Or about 295 Kelvin.

Mars?

I probably won't live long enough to see the teraforming of Mars, but I'd sure like to see some positive steps toward it. That would be so cool.

Oh, and tomorrow is National Chocolate Pudding Day. Enjoy!

EE&V

Eyes
The view or an urban landscape from a high, concrete balcony.

Ears
The rumble of a jumbo jet taking off a few miles away.

Voice

"What happened during that lost day and why are you being all...weird, now?"

"I watched you die."

Not Washed Away

No tornado. No hail.
Some wind, several power outages, and lots of rain.
We're still looking at the possibility of flash floods after last night's 5 inches (about 13 cm) of rain.

You know it's bad when the power's off and you can still find your way to the bathroom without the nightlight because the lighning is flashing like a disco outside. (Not in the distance.) :-)

So I'm an hour and a half short on sleep. It could be worse.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Hope everybody has a good weekend.
Remember, tomorrow is national pink day. :-)

Stormy Weather

Rain, lightning, and wind. More is on the way so I thought I'd dash something here in case the power goes off (or worse).

We do need the rain though.

Just not the lightning, wind, and possible hail. Or tornadoes. Those can be really messy.

But at least it's cooled off some.

Ever Notice?

I was thinking about posting song lyrics in lieu of anything more creative, but all the stuff that came to mind sounds great but the lyrics seem kind of weak. Some songs just have to be heard while others carry weight when simply read. Both have value if you ask me, but it's hard to share the former without the ability to *play* them for you.

Off the top of my head,
Saga - You and the Night
Pink - 18 Wheeler

And then there are the instrumentals. I won't even start that list right now.

Beam Me Up Mr. Pollack

Not everybody will find this as funny as I do, but here it is anyway.

In Honor of Chester

Today is International Panic Day.
That covers it, no?

Also, tomorrow is World Sauntering Day. If you can't saunter, you only have hours to learn.
:-)

After that, it's Ice Cream Soda Day, because all that sauntering is hard work and we need a reward. (Yeah, that's it.)

I'm With Phil

So you're leaving
In the morning
On the early train
But I could say everything's alright
And I could pretend and say goodbye

Got your ticket
Got your suitcase
Got your leaving smile
Oh, I could say that's the way it goes
And I could pretend and you won't know
That I was lying

Because I can't stop loving you
No, I can't stop loving you
No, I won't stop loving you
Why should I?

We took a taxi
To the station
Not a word was said
And I saw you walk across the road
For maybe the last time, I don't know

Feeling humble
Heard a rumble
On the railway track
And when I hear the whistle blow
I'll walk away and you won't know
That I'll be crying

Because I can't stop loving you
No, I can't stop loving you
No, I won't stop loving you
Why should I?

Even try
I'll always be here by your side (why why why)
I never wanted to say goodbye
I'm always here if you change, change your mind

So your leaving
In the morning
On the early train
But I could say everything's alright
And I could pretend and say goodbye
But that would be lying, no

Because I can't stop loving you
(can't stop loving you)
No, I can't stop loving you
(I won't stop loving you)
No, I won't stop loving you
Why should I even try?
Because I can't stop loving you
(can't stop loving you)
No, I can't stop loving you
(that's all I can do)
No, I won't stop loving you
Why should I?
(why should I)
Why should I?
(tell me why)
Why should I even try?

Figure Of Speech

People always seem to think it's just a phrase when I say. "Wanna borrow my axe?"

Just so it's clear, I really do have one though I'm not real free about actually lending it out.

Uh Oh

Tomorrow is Pop Goes The Weasel Day, and I have no idea how I'm supossed to celebrate it.

Do I have to pop a weasel? Won't I get in trouble for that? Who cleans it up?

Any ideas?

I've always loved this song.

Monday, June 04, 2007

Tomorrow Is

Festival Of Popular Delusions Day.

There has to be some way we can have fun with that. Any takers?

(It does make me wonder if there's ever a Festival of *Unpopular* Delusions Day though.)

Today Is

Today is Dare Day.

Then the third is Repeat Day.

Does that mean we have another shot at the dares? Kind of a cosmic do-over?

Really Sells The Sport, No?

Yeah, this looks like fun to me. Not.
